This past year has been equally exciting as it has been challenging. As a result, the Alpharetta Business Association has grown into truly the “Voice of Alpharetta”.
Last fall, the ABA Board was expanded from 6 to 9 members in an effort to better serve our ABA membership, as well as, the community. Next, in an effort to plan our future, ABA developed a Comprehensive Strategic Plan. This Plan put forward a road map of change for Alpharetta, while maintaining the historic feel. However, a cornerstone of ABA remains …. ABA is a strong supporter of business and seeks to increase business opportunities.
A guiding principle for change, we desire a healthy relationship with our city officials and community leaders to create a city that we can all be proud to work and live in. Our desire for a beautiful and historic “small town” feel in Alpharetta strengthens our united efforts.
Although active on a number of fronts, ABA is very proud to offer and support the
Alpharetta Farmer’s Market. Operating from mid April until mid October, the market has become a hub of activity every Saturday morning. It was selected in 2009 as one of the top 5 farmer markets in the Atlanta metro area.
Other ABA notable activities have included sponsoring “Girls Night Out” and the “Christmas Cookie Walk”. We have also participated in the “Alpharetta Arts Streetfest”, and the “Greater North Fulton Business Expo”.
Besides providing our members opportunities to network and promote their businesses, ABA has, and will continue, to tackle tough issues which impact our city.
Downtown Alpharetta is “where it all began”. Our history is notable and our future is even brighter!
